Ski More. Spend Less.

About Find Cheap Ski Holidays

We donโ€™t just compare ski holidays. We help you understand them.

Our motto is Ski More. Spend Less. For us, that is not just about finding a lower headline price. It is about helping skiers make informed decisions about the whole trip โ€” the package, resort, location, travel, inclusions and trade-offs โ€” so they can spend their ski-holiday budget more wisely. We combine useful holiday-search tools with practical resort information, ski-company research and editorial judgement so the planning feels more like the start of the trip.

We help people compare trips

Commercial comparison pages are built around the job of that page. We donโ€™t just reproduce package listings; we interpret what the package means for the skier, helping readers compare relevant holidays, providers, inclusions and trade-offs more clearly.

We explain resorts properly

Travel guides cover how resorts work, where to stay, transport, ski passes and trip-planning details.

We review, not just promote

Our resort and ski-company reviews score strengths and weaknesses, explain trade-offs and keep the editorial verdict separate from customer feedback.

We inform before we send

The goal is not just getting a click โ€” it is helping readers make a better ski decision first.

Who we are

Find Cheap Ski Holidays is built around a simple idea: better-informed skiers make better bookings.

Ski trips involve more than finding a low headline price. Resort choice, terrain, location, travel and inclusions can all change whether a holiday is good value for the person booking it.

What we are trying to do

We created Find Cheap Ski Holidays to bridge a gap between pure promotional content and genuinely useful ski-planning information. Skiers often need more than a cheap headline price or a list of available packages. They also need context: what a resort is like, who it suits, what is actually included, whether the ski area is worth the spend, and what practical details matter before booking. That is what Ski More. Spend Less. means to us: making more informed decisions about where the money goes and what the skier gets in return.

We also try to make uncertainty visible. When a detail has changed, is still provisional or has not yet been published for the coming season, we would rather flag that than disguise it as certainty.

We want someone using the site to feel they are already getting into ski-holiday mode โ€” not just moving through a booking funnel.

Our point of view

Our aim is to make the decision easier before money changes hands.

That means surfacing the details that affect the trip, interpreting what a package means in practice, explaining trade-offs clearly and making the site feel warmer, more atmospheric and more ski-holiday-like than a plain click-and-compare page.

What makes us different

Our USPs: why Find Cheap Ski Holidays is more than a ski-holiday comparison site.

These are the practical and editorial principles that shape how we build the site and help skiers make decisions.

We separate intent properly.

Commercial comparison pages, travel guides, resort reviews and ski-company reviews answer different questions, so each is written for a distinct stage of the decision rather than trying to do everything at once. A France page, a family page and a last-minute page should not rank providers in exactly the same way.

We interpret the package, not just list it.

We focus on the details that can change the real value of a trip, including location, transport, board basis, what is actually included and what may still need to be paid for separately. The aim is to explain what those details mean for the skier, not simply reproduce an operator listing.

We care about resort understanding.

The mountain and resort matter as much as the package. We explain layout, ski area, atmosphere and practical differences between bases where they matter.

We compare the whole trip, not just the headline price.

A low package price can be misleading when travel, transfers, baggage or ski extras sit outside it. We encourage readers to compare the total trip cost before deciding what represents better value.

We prioritise practical, current resort information.

Opening dates, ski-pass information, transport details and resort layouts can change. Our travel guides are built around checking the practical details that matter before a trip.

Our rankings are explained โ€” there is no black box.

Resort reviews show their category scores, company reviews use a separate weighted operator framework, and commercial comparison pages use page-specific editorial provider ordering. Destination relevance or trip intent can change that order; relevant luxury, niche and specialist providers can still be included, while providers without a sufficiently relevant current product may be omitted. Our research methodology explains the approach. Affiliate partnerships never buy a higher position, rating, weighting or editorial verdict.

We show where important information comes from.

Resort facts are checked against sources such as lift companies and tourist offices; company inclusions, policies and protections are checked against the operator or responsible organisation. Source links are included where they are useful.

We separate fact from opinion.

Altitude, opening dates, published prices, package inclusions and protection details are factual claims. Atmosphere, value, convenience and whether a resort or operator suits a particular skier are editorial judgements, and we treat them differently.

We would rather say โ€œnot confirmed yetโ€ than guess.

If a new season price, opening date or other important detail has not been officially confirmed, we prefer to say that clearly rather than present an old figure or assumption as current.

We want the site to feel like the holiday starts here.

Useful information matters most, but tone, imagery, movement and personality matter too. We want the experience to feel more like the beginning of a ski trip than a dry comparison spreadsheet.

Meet our mascot

Trav brings movement, snow and personality into the site โ€” not just a logo-like mascot.

Trav is not one static mascot. He appears differently across the site โ€” skiing on some pages, in falling snow on others, and as a guide character where a quick tip or nudge makes sense.

Why Trav matters to the brand

Trav helps us make the site feel more alive and more recognisably about ski holidays. He is not meant to behave like a fixed brand icon used the same way everywhere.

On some pages he skis. On others there is snowfall around him. In other places he acts more like a friendly guide alongside a practical reminder. That flexibility reflects the different moods of the site.

The bigger aim is simple: we do not want Find Cheap Ski Holidays to feel like a plain click-and-compare experience. We want it to feel helpful, welcoming and a little closer to being on holiday already.

Behind the mascot

Trav = personality. Humans = editorial responsibility.

Trav helps bring movement, snow and personality to the brand, but people are responsible for our research, fact-checking, scoring and editorial verdicts. We may use software tools to assist parts of the production process, but they do not independently determine our ratings or recommendations.

Josh Milner is an editor, reviewer and writer for Find Cheap Ski Holidays and has been on many ski holidays. Where he has relevant first-hand resort or booking experience, it can inform the judgement; where he does not, we do not imply that he does. Current prices, products, policies, protections and transport details are still checked separately.

How to read our reviews

Our verdict is there to help you decide โ€” not to make the decision for you.

A single overall score cannot tell every skier what matters most, so we show the category detail underneath it and use different scoring systems for resorts and ski companies.

Resort scores use a worldwide benchmark

Resorts are compared against leading ski destinations internationally, so a 9+ category score is deliberately difficult to earn.

Company reviews use a separate weighted score

Ski companies are rated on total-trip value, trust, clarity, choice, travel, ski extras, support and convenience. The category weights and score bands are published in How We Research.

Editorial and customer reviews stay separate

Reader-submitted ratings do not become our resort or company score, and our editorial rating is not presented as though it were a customer average.

First-hand experience is used carefully

Relevant personal experience can strengthen context and judgement, but we do not invent it and we do not use an older trip as evidence for current prices, products, policies or protection.

Value does not simply mean cheap

For resorts and companies, value means what the skier receives for the total spend. A higher price can still represent strong value when the experience or package justifies it.

You do not have to agree with our final score

The category breakdown, facts and trade-offs are there so you can weight the things that matter to your own trip and reach a different conclusion if you want to.

Trust & transparency

Transparency matters when commercial links are involved.

Affiliate and referral relationships can help fund Find Cheap Ski Holidays, but they never influence resort ratings, company-review scores, category weights, provider ordering or editorial verdicts.

Commercial relationships are disclosed, not hidden.

We explain how the site can earn money and keep commercial relationships separate from editorial judgement. Provider order on comparison pages is based on relevance to the destination or trip intent, not on who pays the highest commission. How We Make Money explains the model in more detail.
