Skiworld Ski Holidays Review

Is Skiworld worth booking for a ski holiday? We rate the package, trust, choice, travel, support, ski extras and the unusually comprehensive catered-chalet and Ski-All-In options.

Our rating 8.7/10Ski specialists since 198265+ exclusive chalets
Quick jump

Quick verdict

Skiworld is strongest when you want more of the ski week bundled into one booking.

The standard package already covers flights, transfers, accommodation, hold luggage and support. Catered chalets add meals and wine on catered days, while Ski-All-In can bring the lift pass and equipment hire into the same deal. That makes convenience a genuine strength, although the exact inclusions still depend on the product you choose.

Our verdict

Is Skiworld worth it? Yes — particularly for catered chalets and highly packaged ski trips.

Skiworld’s strongest argument is not sheer resort count; it is how much of the holiday it can organise. Standard packages include flights, transfers, accommodation, hold luggage and support. Its exclusive catered chalets add a substantial food-and-wine package, and Ski-All-In can bundle a lift pass and equipment hire too. That makes Skiworld unusually convenient for groups and chalet customers. The trade-off is that the range is more curated than the biggest ski platforms, and the exact travel, support and Ski-All-In details still vary by booking.

Trav’s take: Decide which Skiworld product you are actually comparing. A standard hotel package, a catered chalet and Ski-All-In can include very different amounts of the ski week, so compare like with like.

Our rating
8.7/10

Excellent overall

Skiworld scorecard

Skiworld Ski Holidays rating: 8.7/10.

Skiworld scores best for trust, ski extras and package convenience. Catered chalets and Ski-All-In give it a distinctive advantage when you want more of the ski week bundled together, while its more curated resort programme keeps the overall score below the very top tier.

Value

Total-trip value

8.2/10

Strong value, especially in the more inclusive packages. Hold luggage is built in, catered chalets include substantial meals and Ski-All-In can absorb major ski costs. We keep the score below 8.5 because we do not yet have a repeatable live price basket proving market-leading value.

Very good
Trust

Trust & booking confidence

9.3/10

Very strong specialist credentials. Skiworld has operated since 1982, publishes ABTA and ATOL protection and has more than four decades of independent ski-holiday experience.

Market-leading
Clarity

Booking clarity & transparency

8.4/10

Good detail, but several package types need careful comparison. Skiworld publishes useful travel, baggage, ski-extra and protection information, yet standard packages, catered chalets, short breaks and Ski-All-In do not all work identically.

Very good
Choice

Resort & accommodation choice

8.4/10

Excellent chalet depth, but a more curated overall programme. Skiworld combines 65+ exclusive chalets with selected hotels and apartments, while the broadest operators offer materially more resort and accommodation inventory.

Very good
Travel

Travel logistics

8.8/10

Flexible for a traditional package operator. Regional flights, transfers, short breaks, self-drive and selected alternative travel options create useful choice, although routes and timings still depend on the holiday.

Excellent
Ski extras

Ski extras & flexibility

9.0/10

Ski-All-In earns a genuine 9 here. Lift passes, hire and lessons can be arranged around ordinary bookings, while selected deals integrate the lift pass and equipment hire directly into the package.

Market-leading
Support

Support & service

8.8/10

Strong specialist backup. Skiworld provides 24/7 support and local teams in core destinations, but the in-person service is not identical across every hotel, apartment, short-break or tailor-made holiday.

Excellent
Convenience

Package convenience

9.2/10

Skiworld’s signature strength. Standard packages cover the core journey and luggage, catered chalets add meals, and Ski-All-In can add the lift pass and equipment. We score the company overall rather than only its most inclusive product.

Market-leading
How the overall score works: We give more importance to the parts that can have the biggest effect on the holiday. Value carries 20%; trust, booking clarity and choice 15% each; travel, ski extras and support 10% each; convenience 5%. The weighted result is 8.685/10, rounded to 8.7.

Who Skiworld suits

Who should book a Skiworld ski holiday?

Skiworld is at its best when the package itself is part of the appeal — especially for chalet groups, families and travellers who want more of the ski week organised before departure.

Skiworld is a strong fit if…

  • You want flights, transfers, hold luggage and accommodation organised together.
  • You like the social and practical benefits of a catered chalet.
  • You want the option to bundle a lift pass and equipment through Ski-All-In.
  • You value ski-specialist advice and support rather than a generic travel platform.

Compare another option if…

  • You want the widest possible resort and accommodation inventory.
  • You need almost unlimited choice of duration, travel day or airline.
  • You mainly want a bare accommodation price and prefer to organise everything else yourself.
  • Your preferred resort does not fit Skiworld’s more curated programme.

Package contents

What does a Skiworld ski holiday include?

The answer depends on the product. The standard package covers the core journey and stay; catered chalets add meals; Ski-All-In can add a lift pass and equipment hire.

✓ IncludedFlights + transfers

Standard package holidays include the travel and transfer arrangement shown for the booking. Private, self-drive and alternative options are available on selected trips.

✓ IncludedAccommodation + hold luggage

Your chosen chalet, hotel or apartment is included, along with the airline’s standard hold-luggage allowance on Skiworld package flights.

ChaletCatering

Exclusive catered chalet holidays include the stated breakfast, afternoon tea and evening-meal service with wine on catered days.

Skiworld provides in-resort support in its core chalet programme and backup through its UK team and 24-hour helpline. The local service model varies outside staffed resorts.

Value checks

What can change the value of a Skiworld ski holiday?

Skiworld’s headline package can include more than many rivals, but you still need to compare the exact product rather than assume every holiday has the same bundle.

01

Identify the package type

A hotel package, catered chalet, Ski-All-In deal, short break and self-drive holiday do not include exactly the same things. Start there before comparing prices.

02

Add any remaining ski essentials

Check whether your lift pass, equipment level, lessons, ski carriage and winter-sports insurance are already covered or still need adding.

03

Check travel and transfer detail

Airline, baggage, airport, transfer type and waiting time can vary. A private transfer or non-standard flight can also change the final cost.

04

Read the change and supplier terms

Deposits, amendments and some travel components can carry supplier-specific charges, particularly where flights or extras have already been secured.

The decision

Choose Skiworld when you want the package to cover more of the actual ski week.

The strongest case is an exclusive catered chalet or a Ski-All-In deal: flights, transfers, luggage and accommodation are already handled, with catering and potentially the lift pass and equipment layered on top. Compare elsewhere when maximum resort choice, a simpler one-size-fits-all package or near-unlimited travel flexibility matters more.

Before booking

Skiworld Ski Holidays FAQs.

Package contents, Ski-All-In, lift passes, equipment, travel protection and the differences between Skiworld’s holiday types.

What is included in a Skiworld package ski holiday?

Skiworld says its package price includes flights, transfers, accommodation, hold luggage and in-resort support as standard. Catered chalet holidays also include the catering described for the chalet you book.

Are lift passes, ski hire and lessons included with Skiworld?

Normally these are organised after booking. Skiworld lets customers pre-book lift passes and ski hire, and lessons can be booked with its ski-school partners. Ski-All-In is different because it bundles a lift pass and the equipment-hire level shown for the deal into the package.

What is included with Skiworld Ski-All-In?

Ski-All-In deals combine the core package with chalet catering, a local-area lift pass and the ski or snowboard hire level shown for the deal. Available upgrades and substitutions depend on the resort, dates and booking.

Are Skiworld holidays ATOL and ABTA protected?

Skiworld is an ABTA member, number V2151, and is licensed under ATOL 2036. Its flight-inclusive holidays are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. Check your booking and ATOL Certificate to confirm the protection applying to the services you have booked.

How we review

How we reached our Skiworld rating.

We use current Skiworld information for package contents, chalet catering, Ski-All-In, travel, ski extras, support and financial protection, then apply the same company-rating scale used across our operator reviews.

01 · Current product

What Skiworld sells today.

We check the standard package, catered chalets, Ski-All-In, hotels, apartments, travel options, ski extras and support against Skiworld’s latest published information.

02 · Whole-trip value

Value beyond the headline price.

We consider what is genuinely included — including luggage and catering where relevant — and what still needs adding for the complete ski trip.

03 · Same company scale

Compare like with like.

Skiworld is scored on the same eight company categories as other ski operators, so its chalet specialism is recognised without confusing it with raw resort inventory.

How the overall rating is balanced

Value carries the most weight because the complete holiday cost matters most. Trust, booking clarity and choice come next, followed by travel logistics, ski extras, support and convenience. The weighted result is 8.685/10, rounded to 8.7/10.
