Les Arcs officially groups five sites at different altitudes: Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. A lower-priced property may sit in a different base, with different slope access and daily transport needs. Compare the actual property address, not just the resort name.
Arc 1600 sits in the forest and is described by Les Arcs as authentic and tranquil. It is also highlighted as a family favourite and is linked to Bourg-Saint-Maurice by the funicular.
Arc 1800 is the lively, vibrant Les Arcs base, with numerous shops, restaurants and activities. It suits travellers who want more going on around the accommodation after skiing.
Arc 1950 is fully pedestrian and combines a warmer village-style atmosphere with practical resort facilities. Check the exact property and what the package includes before comparing prices.
Arc 2000 is the highest of the four mountain resorts and is positioned around high-mountain skiing, open space and sporting activities. It is a strong base to compare when altitude and direct mountain access matter.
Bourg-Saint-Maurice is the authentic, lively valley town and transport hub for Les Arcs. The funicular connects the railway station area with Arc 1600, so compare travel convenience with the daily mountain journey.
